Episode 2: What To Look For And How To Choose a Treatment Program For Substance Abuse

The second episode of The Guiding Compass. I will be interviewing Dr. Matthew Goldenberg a psychiatrist who specializes in working with addiction. Dr. Goldenberg and I will be discussing how to choose a treatment program, determine an appropriate level of care and what questions to ask when looking.

ABOUT DR. GOLDENBERG

Matthew Goldenberg D.O. is an expert in the evaluation and treatment of mental health disorders and is an addiction specialist in Santa Monica, CA. He is double Board Certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. Dr. Goldenberg is an active author and researcher who is well published from Huffington Post to peer-reviewed scientific journals. He is also a frequent invited speaker at national mental health and addiction conferences.

As the founder of Professionals Health Solutions (PHS), Dr. Goldenberg specializes in assisting professionals from a wide range of industries, including healthcare providers, successfully return to work in highly safety sensitive positions. PHS provides individualized and evidence-based evaluations, treatment, monitoring and education that is geared towards motivated adults who seek to obtain and maintain long-term recovery from mental health conditions and addictions.

Dr. Goldenberg continues to engage in research and medical education as a member of the Medical Staff and as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, in Los Angeles, California and also maintains a private practice in Santa Monica, CA.

Dr. Goldenberg completed an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship through UCLA and Psychiatry Residency at Banner University Medical Center, of the University of Arizona, in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Goldenberg completed medical school at Midwestern University, Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine.
